Semir: A New Fashion Design Concept Store for Young Consumers

Integrating Fashion, Technology, and Nature

Semir, the leading brand of casual wear in China, has recently unveiled its first new image fashion design concept store in Shanghai. Designed by Qingliang Xu of Masanori Designs, this experiential store aims to meet the aesthetic needs of young people while incorporating elements of nature, technology, and fashion.

The store entrance immediately captivates visitors with its unique multimedia screens that are spread around the columns in a hierarchical manner. This innovative approach creates a dynamic and artistic atmosphere, reminiscent of a complete painting divided into several parts hanging in the air. The cashier, LED screens, and product corners all feature dynamic interactions, adding a sense of vitality to the space.

Inside the store, a characteristic leisure area has been created, complete with green trees and playful decorations like the qeeboo Kong, rabbit, and picture frame shapes. This area has become a popular spot for young people to relax and enjoy the store's ambiance.

The route setting, scene layout, and theme display within the store have all been carefully designed to cater to the psychology of the customers. In the middle of the men's and women's sections, two rooms have been created, forming an interesting channel. The men's section is shaped like a house with wooden pillars, adorned with green strip lights to create a sense of entering the woods and returning to nature. This design choice allows customers to browse and choose products more easily.

The product display areas are divided according to different themes, showcasing trendy and youth-favored products. The use of low-saturation bright colors in prominent positions adds a vibrant touch to the store. Additionally, a "travel" theme has been created in the urban women's section, complete with street view images and travel elements, resembling a New York Fashion Week runway zone. This creative display presents the scene of hot-selling commodities in a captivating way.

The lighting design of the store has been meticulously planned, from the selection of fixtures to the color temperature and beam angle. Professional lighting designers have ensured that the space feels warm and comfortable, with simple English fonts and a bright green theme color.

One of the unique features of this design is its strategic location opposite a subway station. The store retains a sense of glass, allowing customers on the subway to catch a glimpse of the store display, creating a new and exciting experience.

By integrating sound, light, and electricity, the Semir concept store provides a sensory impact of fashion and vitality. The green decorative trees not only align with the brand's theme hue but also promote the concept of green environmental protection. The dynamic line design in the men's and women's sections enhances the visibility of the products, while the themed displays, such as "travel" and "catwalk," create interesting and attractive scenes. Overall, this design successfully reconstructs the business relationship between people, goods, and the retail space.

The Semir concept store covers an area of 1500 square meters and was completed in 2018. It has since become a popular destination for young consumers seeking a unique and immersive shopping experience.

This innovative design has been recognized with the Iron A' Design Award in 2019, which honors well-designed, practical, and innovative creations that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Semir concept store stands out for its integration of industry best practices, competent technical characteristics, and its contribution to creating a better world.
